MD802 software update went wrong

I just purchased an md802
I installed the pc suite
when i was updating the updates failed, the pc would no longer connect with the
sd card
also a lot of items were missing on the menu on the scan tool when i put the sd card
in the scanner, ie oil reset epb and the obd and all i had was europe on the manufacture list
I got another sd card and installed all the updates to it
it seems to work???
my question is:
will all the systems on the first card be lost now, or did installing the updates put these back on the new sd card

Because I have no idea what happened when you were doing your update for the first card, so I could not tell how seriously your card is damaged.But our server provides the latest and the best software, so doing a complete update for your new card is good idea. -

Hi Leonard,
Where did you purchse the new sd 4gb card from?
Can I buy a sd card that is exactly the same as the original one that came with the machine, and load the software on it? will my autel ID authorise this card for use and update on my MD802 tool.
Or do I need to purchase a card from Autel?
Reason being I have updated and deleted vehicle makes and the MBytes on the sd card have been limited.
@Support: Is it possible to use a 8GB sd card to authorise for my MD802 or must it be a 4GB?

if you had read other posts on here you would know that you can use 8 - 16 gb sdhc card which will accept all the updates and all cars and you wont have to delete any, and you don't have to go to Autel to buy new SD card, many places sell them or do an internet search but make sure its SDHC CARD -

update the new card will put the authentication code back on the SD CARD to be able to be used hope things work fine when your sorted

The sd card I got from a video camera it was a 4gb sdhc class 10
I formatted it on my PC, Then I ran the Autel update tool
first I installed the system software, then it gave me the option
to install all the manufactures on to it
Scan tool runs ok now, but for the Nissan software V2.20
I have ordered a new 8gb sdhc class 10 card, 4gb is not enough with all the new updates
It is also possible to copy the folders of the sd card to your pcb as a back up (takes awhile) -

Hi Gary yes i bought a 16gbSDHC loaded it and its working just perfect.
problem solved.

glad to help glad your enjoying the 802 and with the 16gb card you shouldn't have problems on later updates or saving dater

I have installed all the software on my new 16gb sd card all is well but for the fact that it wont connect to nissan almera 2005 using the latest software nissan v2.20,
i have to use nissan v2.10 to connect but this has reduced live data
Autel said they have found the problem and are working on it
I will update when i get the fix
